Other confirmed characters include Batman, The Flash, Superman, Supergirl, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Robin, Catwoman, Swamp Thing, Blue Beetle, Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Gorilla Grodd, Poison Ivy and Atrocitus.

There is no way of knowing who the next character to be inducted to "Injustice 2" this March will be, but the website offers some clues.

The character list there shows the aforementioned confirmed characters and two others —Bane and Brainiac both have profiles on the site. A description for the former is as follows:

"After Superman's defeat, Bane was betrayed by the Regime and relentlessly pursued by Batman. Having already spent most of his life in prison, he is determined to take revenge against his former Regime masters and turn Gotham into a city where his rule is law."

As for Brainiac, best known for being one of the rivals of Superman, he is described as the megalomaniacal genius who never ceases to learn more about the universe. The description for the purported "Injustice 2" character reads:

"Obsessed with establishing his superiority, Brainiac captured Krypton's greatest cities, then eradicated what remained...or so he thought. Tales of the "Last Son of Krypton" have reached far into the stars. Now, the Collector of Worlds comes to Earth to finish his accumulation of Krypton -- and discovers a new world worthy of his collection."

The website comes with images of Bane and Brainiac, giving fans an idea what they will look like come "Injustice 2." Whether or not either of these two will be revealed on March 2 remains to be seen.

"Injustice 2" will be released on May 5 for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
