'Insurgent' Movie News: Shailene Woodley and Miles Teller Talks About Filming, Their Thoughts on 'Divergent'

Filming for "Insurgent" has just wrapped two months ago, and now, film stars Shailene Woodley and Miles Teller are talking about their experience working on the film.

"Insurgent" is the sequel to "Divergent," and both movies are based on the books of the same titles written by Veronica Roth. The movie tells of a dystopian society wherein people are separated into different factions.

In an interview with Reuters, Woodley, who plays main character Tris, talked about how the movie portrays teenagers as they fight to the death, which seems to be a common theme among many young adult dystopian novels and films nowadays.

"I think it's sad," said Woodley. "I think that Divergent doesn't glamorize or endorse firearms or weaponry or violence in any way, shape, or form. I think it shows the tragedy of it all."

Meanwhile, Teller, who plays Peter Hayes in the movie, clarified what he said about working on the film when several media outlets previously reported that he allegedly said that he was "bored" while working on the set of "Divergent" and "Insurgent." In an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, he said that he was "more burnt out than bored" while he was working on the first "Divergent" film.

"It wasn't so much bored as it was … that was my first experience on a film of that length — four months," said the 27-year old actor. "But at the end of the day, do I love going to set every day? Yeah. With 'Divergent,' I made a lot of good friends, but it came a month after 'That Awkward Moment,' and 'That Awkward Moment' was a string of four movies that I did that year. I think I was more burnt out than bored."

Woodley and Teller are two of the busiest young stars today. They previously starred as the lead characters in last year's coming of age movie, "The Spectacular Now." Aside from "Insurgent," Teller appears on the critically acclaimed movie "Whiplash" and is set to play the role of Mr. Fantastic on the rebooted "Fantastic Four" movie. Woodley starred in this year's 'White Bird in a Blizzard' and has just finished filming the short film "The Monogamy Experiment."

"The Divergent Series: Insurgent" will premiere on March 20, 2015.
