'Inuyashiki Last Hero' Episode 3 Spoilers: Ichiro and Hiro Finally Meet; Will an Intense Good vs Evil Battle Ensue?

When an alien spaceship appeared at a park one night, seemingly out of nowhere and out of turn, two people were killed instantly on impact and were subsequently resurrected with mechanical bodies. Now it seems that their paths are about to collide on the Japanese sci-fi anime series, "Inuyashiki."

While the first episode of the series introduced audiences to the main protagonist, Ichiro Inuyashiki, and the kind of life and disposition he had before the alien encounter, the second episode, in turn, familiarized audiences with the other guy who was involved in the accident, high school student, Hiro Shishigami.

Hiro initially seemed to be a cool and level-headed guy who preferred personality over looks on girls, loved manga, and cared enough about his childhood friend, Naoyuki Ando, to actually come by his place and reveal his new mechanical self to the often bullied guy.

But this kindness, apparently, does not go beyond Hiro's family and friends. While he is able to interact gently with those he cares about, killing everybody else is fair game. And this he does to assure himself that he's alive, as opposed to how Ichiro felt the same after saving a bullied homeless man in the premiere.

And now their paths are about to cross and potentially turn into their first intense battle in the next episode, with one man feeling an intense will for justice, and the other possessing a cold-blooded will to kill.

Can Ichiro take the younger guy down and put an end to the string of murders that he has been committing around town since acquiring his mechanical body? Or will his own principle as a hero work against him and let his toughest opponent escape?

Also, could there be any significant differences in the mechanical bodies that the aliens have given each of them? If so, how will this affect their upcoming battles?

"Inuyashiki Last Hero" airs on Thursday late night at 12:55 a.m. JST on Fuji TV's noitaminA anime block. Information on other broadcast schedules and online resources can be found on the series' official site. Episodes are also available for regions outside Japan via Amazon Prime's Anime Strike service.
