Venture Beat reports that there are apps within iMessage that can stand alone all by themselves. Apps within the iMessage App Store are specially created for the iMessage. The original apps need to be downloaded first before they can be used in Apple's new iMessage app. With that said, Apple is venturing on to companies having their own chat applications similar to Slack, Skype, Facebook Messenger, Kik and many more.

With the inclusion of third-party apps, Apple has also included Siri, CNET noted. Apart from being commanded to control Apple's own apps, Siri can now be commanded to control Pinterest, LinkedIn, WhatsApp and many more.
