iOS 9.2.1 Jailbreak Update: Fake iOS Jailbreaks Circulating Online

Fake iOS 9.2 jailbreaks are circulating online, and Apple users have been warned against falling for such claims unless it comes from credible groups such as Pangu and TaiG.

As of now, no official 9.2 jailbreak has been released yet, but Pangu and TaiG will reportedly release one soon. For Apple users who upgrade to iOS 9.2.1, the upcoming jailbreak will be useless, according to Ecumenical News.

While Apple users can postpone any iOS update, doing so can also prevent patches and other updates from being implemented in the operating system.

Meanwhile, there have been fake developers announcing alleged jailbreaks online. Apple users are warned that such jailbreaks will only bring additional problems, unless it is from Pangu or TaiG, the report details.

Right now, there are several iOS 9.2 jailbreak tools circulating online. Users are warned not to be deceived and not to download any of these no matter how convincing they appear. Most probably, downloading a fake jailbreak will only install a fake app on one's device or cause serious damage to the PC or Mac, N4BB warns.

While iOS 9.2 jailbreak is still a long way off, Apple users can take a look at the improvements that come with the iOS 9.2.1 update. The latest update brings a fix for the Error 53 that bricks some iPhones when users use unauthorized Touch IDs, the report relays.

It can be remembered that the previous iOS update rendered many iPhones with tampered home buttons useless. The issue came up among devices fixed by third parties or unauthorized technicians.

Meanwhile, a new iOS 9.3 jailbreak may be coming soon, based on messages posted by Twitter user @enMTW. The hacker reportedly came up with a jailbreak for the iOS 9.3 beta 3, and promised to release the jailbreak tool once iOS 9.3 comes out. However, it is best to take this piece of news with a grain of salt, especially since the hacker has not posted any proof of his breakthrough.

More information on the iOS 9.2.1 jailbreak is expected to be reported as soon as a legit version is available.
