iOS 9.2 Jailbreak Release Update: TaiG Partner 3K Assistant Reveals iOS 9.2 Jailbreak Will Arrive Soon
Those looking to get hold of iOS 9.2 jailbreak might need to wait just a while longer. TaiG associate and Chinese hacker group 3K Assistant has revealed that the iOS jailbreak version is currently in development and will be arriving soon.
According to tech blogger Stephen Chan, also known as Superphen, 3K Assistant officially announced on its Weibo account that the team has been hard at work on iOS jailbreak 9.2 and that it will come soon. Weibo is a Chinese microblogging site and is considered as the Twitter equivalent in China. Chan had got wind of the news via Chinese website Kuaiyong, which had originally broke the news on Friday, Dec. 18.
The post is in Chinese, but according to Chan's translation, 3K Assistant had stated that it has been "industrious" on iOS 9.2 jailbreak since iOS 9.2 was officially released. The post goes on to say that the team's effort has been rewarded; 3K Assistant had finally made some breakthrough on iOS 9.2.
It appears that the group already has a working version of the jailbreak, according to Popular Science. A useable version, however, has yet to be released to the public.
3K Assistant's post continues as saying that the work on iOS 8.2 is still ongoing, but 3K Assistant believes an untethered jailbreak will be available "in the very near future." No release window has been provided, but the TaiG associate asked for jailbreakers to be patient as the iOS 9.2 jailbreak will definitely arrive and it was just a matter of time as to when.
The original post of 3K Assistant has been deleted, but screenshots of the post will live on in Superphen's blog and Kuaiyong.
3K Assistant is not the only team working on an untethered iOS 9.2 jailbreak; other hacker groups are also working at creating their own versions.
