iOS 9.3 Has a Bug, May Cause iPhone to Crash

Apple recently announced a major upgrade to their operating system that runs the iPhone and iPad – iOS 9.3. But unlike the previous updates, this one appears to have a bug that can cause any mobile device that upgrades to it to crash.

The major glitch in the iOS 9.3 reportedly causes the mobile device to freeze and eventually crash, according to a series of complaints and reports on the Support Forums of the company. Per Fortune.com, one iPhone user complained about not being able to click a link and go to the browser. What it does instead is simply freeze, or in some instances, crash when the link is opened using Safari.

There still is no word from Apple, possibly to provide details on what's causing the glitch, although several forum topics online claim that the bug has something to do with one of the new features of iOS called "Universal Links." The function of this application is to give developers the ability to force links to open directly using their independent programs. Another claim provides that when the Javascript installed on the iOS is turned off, the problem disappears.

This news comes as somewhat surprising for the guys at Apple because they were under the impression that the 9.3 version was literally bug-free. Apparently, it isn't. Credit to Apple though, they didn't deny it, even acknowledging the bug and further saying that they are now working to fix the issue.

The bug is definitely a huge blow to Apple's highly anticipated iOS update especially that the support for the new Night Shift feature was well-received. There are several users who already have established some kind of an online portal dedicated to sharing their complaints about the bug, but just like in the previous glitches, the company always finds a way to resolve the bugs.
