iPhone 5 Cable Seen on Retailer Supply With Smaller Connector (PHOTO)

The new iPhone's cable might already be out there as a picture of one has appeared on a site that sells mobile accessories.

It appears to be a third-party component rather than one issued officially by Apple. It also features the smaller dock connector that has been rumored for the iPhone for quite some time.

A screen digitizer set that is reportedly for the upcoming iPhone 5 is also selling for $199 on various retail sites. The component would only be useful for tech enthusiasts looking to construct their own iPhone.

The part showed up on the internet earlier this week and is advertized as the "iPhone 5" LCD Screen complete with digitizer assembly. It is slightly longer than the 1,136 x 640-pixel display rumored for the device, so it could be a fake.

The part is currently available for purchase on ChinaGadgetLand.com and sells for $199. However, it is currently out of stock.

The specifications for the LCD Screen with Digitizer Assembly for the iPhone 5 include the LCD Screen, Touch Screen, Digitizer, and Front Cover. The screen is 4 inches and has a resolution of 1136 x 640. The set functions as replacement parts for the device that is expected to be released sometime in the fall.

The iPhone 5 is expected to come with LTE connectivity.

Carriers in Korea are currently voicing concerns to Apple over compatibility issues with their networks, the Korea Times is reporting. The LTE frequencies used in the nation are slightly different from those used in the U.S.

Along with this report, the fact that the new iPad runs on LTE networks also points to the new smartphone having the same ability. The iPhone is also rumored to include a more powerful battery that can accommodate LTE connectivity without draining too much power.
