The Christian Post had the opportunity to get a hands-on first look at the new iPhone 5 courtesy of AT&T.

AT&T was able to let us handle the new iPhone 5 and what we found was a device made for the common smartphone user.

The iPhone 5 does not look that much larger than the iPhone 4S, even with its new 4-inch display. It is much lighter than its predecessor and easier to handle, allowing owners of the smartphone to perform most tasks with one hand.

Apple chose not to make it wider and instead, created something light, convenient, and simple to use.

The display has the same resolution as the screen on the iPhone 4S and the new Apple Maps 3D feature looks pretty cool, especially if you're looking at a map of New York City.

Everything seems to run extremely smooth on the new iPhone and the dock connector is a lot smaller than the one found on older Apple devices and can be found at the bottom.

AT&T's LTE allows the iPhone 5 to surf the web at extremely fast speeds that rival Wi-Fi. Having the new A6 chip doesn't hurt the device either, as most tasks not involving internet can be performed lightning fast as well.

The 4-inch display gives an improved widescreen experience while Apple still keeps the phone small and easy to carry around by not making it wider and using new materials to build its frame.

The iPhone 5 is a lot thinner and lighter than the iPhone 4S and the two-tone design makes for a nice change from model to model.

The smartphone is currently available at AT&T, who offers it with full 4G LTE service.
