iPhone 5 Shipment Stolen in France
An entire iPhone 5 shipment was hijacked in France on Tuesday.
The theft of the smartphones played out like a heist movie, with three armed robbers blocking a vehicle being used to load a shipment of iPhone 5s into a plane with two BMWs. The robbers then used guns to force the driver to follow the two cars and a Renault Master that led the phones away from the area.
This is one of many robberies that have been made in recent weeks involving the new iPhone 5. Around 191 units were stolen from three different stores in Japan, and an employee of a London O2 store made off with an entire shipment containing 250 iPhone 5s worth around £100,000.

Apple launched the iPhone 5 last Friday and the device has already sold over 5 million units worldwide, making it the biggest iPhone release of all time.
The new smartphone features a taller 4-inch display and thinner design at 7.6 mm thick. The new screen is 1136 x 640 pixels resolution with 326 pixels. It also has touch sensors built into it in order to keep the phone as thin as possible.
With the taller screen, applications have been expanded and Apple promises that nothing has been altered or stretched in the process. It also allows for five rows of icons to be displayed on the new iPhone's home screen.
The iPhone 5 features a two-tone design with a metal backing. It is completely made from glass and aluminum. It is said to be 20 percent lighter than the 4S.
Hardware has been greatly improved as well, as the device comes with an A6 chip that can perform at speeds twice as fast as the A5 found in the iPhone 4S. It is also 22 percent smaller than its predecessor.
