iPhone 6 or iPhone 5S Low-Cost Model Buttons Surface

Pictures of buttons that could be for the new iPhone 6 or iPhone 5S low-cost model surfaced on the internet this week.

The images were leaked by Australian writer Sonny Dickson who claims that volume buttons for the device are featured in the picture. The buttons are shown in different colors including green, yellow, red, and blue.

They are pill-shaped, making them different from the round ones found on the iPhone 5. They match up perfectly to design drawings that were leaked back in June.

Other high-res photos of what could be a prototype of the low-cost iPhone 6 or iPhone 5S surfaced on the internet this week.

The pictures were posted by a Chinese microblogging site known as Sina Weibo, C Technology. The site claims that this low-cost iPhone will retail for 3000 yuan off-contract, which is equivalent to $490. This puts it in line with the price of the iPhone 4.

The shell's interior can also be seen and shows metal linings and screw holes for other components. These pictures are consistent with previous sightings of the device. Judging from the pictures, the device will feature an 8-megapixel camera, lightning connector, speakers and flash for the phone.

The part is also similar to the video showing off the component that was leaked last month. Both parts had pinholes instead of cut outs for a number of physical features such as the power/volume buttons and SIM slot.

The iPhone component in these new pictures does not have the required legal information and certifications so it cannot be confirmed to be a real component for the device. This could actually be a prototype model.

Apple is expected to unveil its new line of iPhones on Sept. 10.
