iPhone 6 vs. Galaxy Note 3 vs. Nexus 5: Case Comparisons

A new video surfaced on the internet earlier this week that compares the cases of the Galaxy Note 3, Nexus 5, iPhone 5s and a leaked case supposedly made for the iPhone 6.

The video was created by Unbox Therapy and it compares this 4.7-inch iPhone 6 case to the other three devices. The clip gives a viewers a good idea of what the larger displayed model will look like when matched up against other devices around the same size.

The closest case to this iPhone 6 version is the Nexus 5. The two could have a similar feel when being handled with one hand. The iPhone 5s case is significantly smaller than the new one and the Galaxy Note 3 is much larger.

The video also discusses some design changes that can be seen by observing the case as the sleep/wake button has been moved to the top right of the device. Previous rumors have pointed to Apple moving it in order to give users an easier experience when using the device with one hand. The volume buttons gain a rectangular iPad mini style shape instead of the circular buttons found on the 5s.

The iPhone 6 case is significantly thinner than the iPhone 5s version. This information also agrees with previous rumors that have stated that Apple will lessen the thickness and possibly brand its next smartphone as the iPhone Air following in the footsteps of the iPad and MacBook.

The iPhone 6 is expected to launch in both 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch models later this year. The smaller one could hit stores as early as September. The 5.5-inch Galaxy Note 3 competitor might see a push back due to issues with components. However, none of this information has been confirmed at this time.
