iPhone 6 vs Galaxy S5 Comparison: Review of Specs, Features - Which Smartphone is a Better Bang for Your Buck?
Apple and Samsung have always been battling it out when it came to smartphones, phablets, and tablets and this year, Apple released the new iPhone 6. While Samsung is still to release its Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy S6, the iPhone 6 has nobody to compare against but with the present Samsung flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S5.
The iPhone 6 is Apple's first move into the big screen size market but Samsung has already been in that area for quite some time. First off, the iPhone 6's screen size is 4.7-inches, which is significantly bigger than the iPhone 5's 4-inch screen. It's a Retina display phone with 1334 x 750 resolution.
The Galaxy S5, on the other hand, has a 5.1-inch screen size with a full HD resolution (1920 x 1080). While the S5 is already an old phone in today's standards, the full HD resolution screen tops against the Retina display of the iPhone 6.

The iPhone 6 is run by its new 64-bit A8 chipset with a dual-core 1.4GHz processor and a PowerVR GX6450 graphics processor. It has three storage options – the 16GB, 64GB, and 128GB – and has stuck with its 1GB RAM.
The Galaxy S5 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset with a quad-core 2.5GHz Krait 400 processor and an Adreno 330 GPU. It has 16GB and 32GB internal storage options with microSD card support of up to 128GB and 2GB or RAM.
While the iPhone 6 is certainly faster than the Galaxy S5, both have no trouble running its designated apps and operating systems. The Retina display of the iPhone 6 has also helped keeping the display sharp and colorful despite having a lower overall resolution than the S5. While it falls to one's personal preferences, overall the S5 has a bigger screen and higher resolution, while the iPhone 6 has a faster 64-bit processor and a smoother operating system.
