iPhone 6s Rumors: Pre-orders to Start September 11?
Reports have emerged that Apple's upcoming iPhone 6s will be available for pre-orders on September 11, two days after its expected launch.
Fans of Apple's iPhone line will be gearing to line up for the soon-to-be unveiled iPhone 6s and 6s Plus that have been rumored to be up for pre-order starting September 11.
According to reports from mobile and tech website, BGR, French wireless carriers are preparing to take in iPhone 6s preorders in three weeks. Apple products usually hit the U.S., France, Germany, and Japan before hitting other countries.
The news was sourced from Apple's French site, Mac4Ever, which posted an image stating the new iPhone 6s and 6s Plus pre-reservations will begin September 11, Friday.
While it isn't clear which French mobile operator leaked the photo, other French wireless carriers already have the new iPhones in their product lineup, which points to a general country-wide preparation to take in iPhone 6s and 6s Plus preorders soon after the phones' launch.
A September 11 preorder schedule is consistent with Apple's launch strategy of beginning preorders a day or two after an unveiling, then shipping the new products out about a week after its launch, which points out to a September 18 ship out date.
With invites to Apple's events typically going out a week before a launch, it is expected the media will be getting their invitations as early as August 31.
The iPhone 6s and 6s Plus will both carry A9 processors, 2GB of RAM, 12MP rear cameras and 5MP front cameras. Both handsets will feature Force Touch technology, and will ship out with iOS 9 out of the box. They will also be housed in a 7000-series aluminum frame with a redesigned chassis, which is geared to give the new iPhones a sturdier overall structure.
