iPhone 7 Specs Rumored To Include Dual-Camera Feature, Wireless EarPods
The upcoming iPhone 7 may mark the debut of new features such as the dual-camera technology and wireless EarPods for Apple's next smartphones, based on the latest rumors.
Last year, Apple acquired Israeli firm Linx Camera Inc, which uses the dual-camera technology to capture two different images that are later stitched together with the help of imaging software. Rumor has it that the iPhone 7 will have this technology plus the wireless EarPods to adapt to the removal of the 3.5mm headphone jack, according to N4BB.
Last year, Japanese blog Macotakara reported that the 3.5mm headphone jack will no longer be seen in the iPhone 7. This would allow the Cupertino-based firm to make its next smartphone thinner and use the Lightning port for the headphone and charger. However, it cannot be used for listening to music, the report explains.
The most recent rumors say Apple is planning to introduce wireless EarPods with Bluetooth connectivity for the iPhone 7, the report adds.
Apple is increasingly gearing toward wireless technology, and it is rumored to be working on a Wireless Charging feature that will allow the future iPhones to charge away from its charging pad. This feature, however, may not be immediately included in the upcoming iPhone 7, the Ecumenical News reports.
Apple will reportedly hold an event in September to introduce the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus. The next-generation iPhones are expected to run the latest A10 processor with 3 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. The new devices will also have a much better camera, battery, and display. Plus, it will include Touch ID and waterproof features, the report details.
So far, Apple has not yet confirmed the rumors about the upcoming iPhone 7, so fans are advised to take the information with a grain of salt. More details on the new smartphone are expected to surface as the rumored September release date nears.
