iPhone 8 With 3D-Sensing Camera to Arrive in September 2017

According to rumors, the iPhone 8 will sport an innovative front camera that features diffractive optical elements (DOE) and vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser (VCSEL) components. These technologies will reportedly make its front camera 3D-sensing and 3D-modeling-ready.

As the iPhone 8 camera outshines the 3D capabilities of Samsung smartphones, it is expected to set the bar high for smartphone cameras.
The iPhone 8 is also rumored to feature a different placement for the fingerprint sensor. While the Galaxy S8 has its sensor on the rear part of the handset, the iPhone 8 is said to come with new technology that will place the sensor below the display. Recently, a published patent revealed that Apple is currently looking for ways to make the new sensor placement possible.
The tech giant is also reportedly following through on the trend that was first introduced in iPhone 7, where the 3.5-mm headphone jack is absent and is replaced by the wireless AirPods.
As for its release date, the iPhone 8 is expected to arrive in September. Rumor has it that it will be unveiled alongside two new iPhone 7s models.
