IPhone SE Release Date: When Will the New Apple Phone Come to Your Country?
Apple announced its newest smartphone, the iPhone SE, this week. The company starts accepting pre-orders on Wednesday, March 24, and anticipate that the new phone will be available in more than 100 countries by the end of May.
For those looking forward to getting their hands on Apple's latest phone, here's more information on when the iPhone SE will be arriving in your country.
March 31
Customers from the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, France, Germany, China, Puerto Rico, and U.S. Virgin Islands will be able to order the new iPhone SE through Apple.com, Apple's retail stores, authorized resellers, and select carriers.
Apple will be partnering with major carriers in the country, with AT&T offering customers 30-month plans with the option of paying $13.30 per month for the 16 GB model or $16.67 per month for the 64 GB model. T-Mobile offers a shorter contract, offering the iPhone SE for $0 down and $16.67 per month for 24 months on the 16 GB model or $0 down and $20.84 for 24 months on the 64 GB model. Sprint can get the 15 GB model for $0 down and $16.67 monthly payments for 24 months or $100 up front and the same monthly term. Verizon asks $0 down on both models with $16.66 per month for 24 months on the 16 GB and $20.83 per month on the 64 GB model.
The company will also allow customers to "trade up" their existing iPhones for the newer version. Those who will trade in their iPhone 4 and 4s can get the iPhone SE for $14.00 per month. For the iPhone 5 and 5c, customers will be able to receive the iPhone SE for $12.00 monthly installments. The iPhone 5s can also be traded in for the iPhone SE for $10.00 per month. The iPhone 6 can only be traded in for the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus. Installments run for 24 months.
The iPhone SE will be available in these countries beginning Thursday, March 31.
Early April
Apple confirmed in a press release that the iPhone SE will be available in the following territories in "early April." The company did not provide an exact release date yet.
