Is Asus Unveiling Something Big at IFA 2015?

The Taiwanese technology company Asus is gearing up to make some big announcements at the upcoming IFA Consumer Electronics Trade Fair in Berlin, which will run from September 4 to 9, 2015. The company, according to a Tech Times report, said that it will be holding a special event at the IFA 2015. It has scheduled a special press conference on September 2, at 1:00 p.m. Central European Summer Time. The said press conference will also be livestreamed.

Aside from information about the press conference, Asus also released a video with teaser images of what's in store for the public during the unveiling. The 20-second video was released through the company's Facebook page and it featured some teaser shots of at least three devices.

Entitled "IFA 2015 Asus ZenFamily," it showed brief shots of what looked like a streamlined desktop computer, a smartphone and a smartwatch. Except for the desktop computer, the two other devices that were shown were very vague. The video post was accompanied with the following text: "Ready for the latest innovations inspired by the power and beauty of nature?" as the video also featured images of "forces of nature."

A photo of what looked like a smartwatch was included in the video, leading the report to say that Asus may finally be unveiling the much-awaited ZenWatch 2. Details of the newest incarnation of the wearable have been shared months ago, including better battery life and an "upgraded design," but the company has been mum on when it will be available in the market, so it is hoped that at the IFA 2015, the public will find this out.

The phone on the other hand is hardly seen in the video, save for a closeup of one of its buttons. According to the report, it looked much like the back power button similar to the one found on the ZenFone 2.

Aside from the media event, the company will also be present at the IFA 2015 with a sales and Media lounge from September 3 to 8.
