Another character will also be joining the series. It was reported that Andre Tricoteux, who will be playing Colossus in the upcoming "Deadpool" movie, will be involved in next season. He will be taking on the role of a new henchman belonging to Blaine, played by David Anders.

Tricoteux recently shared details about his character in the series. He said, "My character's name is Chief, and I can't divulge too much, other than I work closely with Blaine, and I'm a complicated guy. Chief's a big onion, and every episode you're going to get a little layer peeled off, and he's going to be exposed a little more. I've got a really unique communication style, and I think 'iZombie' fans are going to really take to him, I hope. It's been a fun role to play."

The premiere of the season is titled "Grumpy Old Liv." The episode is expected to see Liv devour the brain of an old man, in order to learn more about how he died. Meanwhile, Liv will visit the home of Bryan Thistlewaite, played by Adam Rose, after receiving a phone call from an unknown contact.

"iZombie" season 2 is set to premiere on The CW this Oct. 6.
