'iZombie' Season 2 Cast News: Michalka Returns to the Series
A familiar character is expected to return to the second season of "iZombie."
It was confirmed that Aly Michalka will be joining the cast of "iZombie" in their sophomore season. Executive producer of the series, Rob Thomas, shared some details about Michalka's return.
The previous season saw Michalka's character, Peyton, leaving her and Liv's residence when she found out that Liv was actually a zombie. With that, fans have been wondering if Peyton will be back to rekindle her friendship with Liv.

While Thomas did not share details about her friendship with Liv, he did clear up some details about Peyton's relationship with someone else. Fans have been curious to know if Peyton and Ravi's romantic relationship will continue in the second season. Thomas confirmed that the two will not be getting back together.
During an interview, however, Thomas did share that the two will see each other again. But they have already decided that they will not be forming a relationship again since they seem to be approaching different directions in their lives. With that, Peyton will be back to continue her work at the Utopium task force.
Peyton is expected to return to the series on the third episode of "iZombie" season 2. According to TV Guide, the synopsis for the third episode was already revealed.
Titled "Real Dead Housewife of Seattle," the synopsis of the upcoming episode reads, "Liv eats the brains of a recently murdered trophy wife who was pushed to her death by a hit man from her home's balcony. A now fashion-obsessed Liv and Det, Babineaux question suspects in their search for the original brains behind the homicide. Meanwhile, Liv and Ravi are surprised to learn that Peyton has returned to Seattle."
The second season of "iZombie" airs on CW every Tuesday.
