'iZombie' Season 2 News, Update: Executive Producer Rob Thomas Teases Scenes Featuring Clive's Personal Life
Not much has been known about Clive (Malcolm Goodwin) except for the fact that the Seattle PD detective has faith in Liv (Rose McIver) in what she does to solve crimes. However, fans might get to know more of Officer Babineaux in the upcoming second season of The CW's hit TV series "iZombie."
Citing the report from TVLine, Design & Trend indicated in their article that Season 2 will offer an up close glimpse on the life of Clive.
"There's a joke in season 2 where Liv [Rose McIver] says, 'I didn't even know you had a home life. I just think you went into your Detective Clive box at the end of the day.' But this year, we're going to see a little bit of Clive's home life," executive producer Rob Thomas told TVLine (via Design & Trend).
The Hollywood Reporter added details on the issue by saying that fans of the hit zombie series will now also be able to meet the person whom Clive has first fallen in love with.
During the network's panel at the recently-held San Diego Comic-Con event, Goodwin said that he would love to find out who Clive is dating in Season 2. The EP, who was also there in the said fan-fest, told the 32-year-old actor that "you're in luck," although he remained mum on the particular details of the character.
But setting aside the matters of the heart, Thomas told TVLine that Clive will be focusing on the events that took place at Meat Cute this season.
"The police department has decided it happened one way, and Clive doesn't agree with his peers, and between us and whoever you're writing to, Clive is more right than the official story," told the publication.
This probing will likely lead the brilliant detective into discovering the real deal about the zombies. Thomas earlier said that the police officer will finally be introduced into the world of the undead in the second half of the new season.
For the meantime, "iZombie" Season 2 premieres Tuesday, Oct. 6 at 8 p.m. on The CW.
