'iZombie' Season 2 Spoilers: More 'Veronica Mars' Stars Are Joining the Cast

Rob Thomas, the executive producer and developer of "iZombie," is bringing another cast from one of his previous shows, "Veronica Mars," and the new addition to The CW show is Enrico Colantoni.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Colantoni, who played Keith Mars on "Veronica Mars," will have a recurring role on "iZombie," as Detective Lou Benedetto. The website said that Liv (Rose McIver) will have overlapping cases with the vice detective, and fans are excited to see how his role will affect Liv's life, professionally and personally. THR reported that the actor who previously played as Veronica Mars' dad will start filming this week and will be appearing on "iZombie" season 2 episode 14 and 17.

Colantoni will now be part of the list of the "Veronica Mars" stars who have guested on Rob Thomas' zombie series. As previously reported, Percy Daggs III, Ryan Hansen, Daran Norris, and Adam Rose were among those who were first to guest star on "iZombie." Kristen Bell will be the next to guest star, but the guesting will actually be a voice-over appearance in episode 11, which is titled "Fifty Shades of Grey Matter."

McIver said that they are excited to have Bell on the show, and thanked Rob Thomas for getting her in an episode. However, no confirmed details were released yet, on whether the 35-year-old "Frozen" actress will have any other role besides doing the narrative of the episode.

Meanwhile, "iZombie" will be back with its 10th episode tonight after a long break, and the upcoming episode's synopsis was posted on Spoilers Guide. The full summary reads, "Liv (Rose McIver) is crushed to discover that the lead actor on her favorite show, "Zombie High" has been murdered on set. Meanwhile, Vaughn (guest star Steven Weber) tests Major's (Robert Buckley) loyalty, and Ravi (Rahul Kohli) delivers bad news. Lastly, Blaine (David Anders) receives an unexpected visitor."
