'iZombie' Season 3: Liv Finds New Love That Won't Suffer Her Ex-Boyfriends' Fates

Things may have been unfortunate for Liv (Rose McIver) in the love department lately, but all that is about to change come "iZombie" season 3.

Liv is getting a new love interest in the upcoming season. Unlike her previous boyfriends, this one will not be stopped by the curse of the grim reaper.

In an interview with TVLine, executive producer Rob Thomas promised that they will "simply not kill off another boyfriend" in "iZombie" season 3.

This does not guarantee that the romance will last although it does assure that death will not be a reason for the relationship to end.

"I'm not going to say that they live happily ever after, but we're not going to use his death as a means of ending that [relationship]," Thomas teased.

"There are many more zombies for her to choose from. She meets an entire army of zombie dudes. So suddenly, there are more fish in the sea," he went on to say.

This suggests that Liv might be the one to call it quits with whoever she gets smitten to in "iZombie" season 3. How all of this happens, fans will just have to wait and see.

The waiting game will not be that long since the new season is set to premiere this Tuesday, April 4 with an episode titled "Heaven Just Got a Little Bit Smoother."

Here, Liv learns that there are more zombies in Seattle than she expected enough to build an army who are prepared for the fateful day humans learn of their existence.

McIver revealed in an interview with E! Online that this dilemma should allow "iZombie" season 3 to become "more of a zombie show in some ways."

"Our zombies still aren't exactly the zombies you've seen before, but there's a lot more of us, and so the threat of how these two communities might or might not integrate is kind of what plays out over the season," she teased.
