'iZombie' will be back for season 2 with Liv ready to 'munch' on Ravi's brains

Season 1 was a successful run for the hit comic-book-turned-TV show "iZombie," and it will back this October for its second season on the CW.

iZombie tells the story of a promising medical student who was turned into a zombie, getting scratched by a drug dealer-turned-zombie. Olivia "Liv" Moore (Rose McIver), the show's protagonist, had isolated herself from her family, roommate, and even her ex-fiancé, Major (Robert Buckley), to keep them safe from her. Liv went from being the bright heart surgeon-to-be to a lowly coroner's assistant at the morgue, so she can easily have access to the brains of dead people. She has to keep eating brains to keep the remaining bits of her humanity.

The first season ended when Liv saved Major's life by turning him into a zombie, and curing him back to being human. Things will be more complicated now that Major and Peyton (Aly Michalka) know that Liv is a zombie. Liv also has to make a decision whether to leave her brother's life to fate when he was caught in an explosion during the finale's episode, or save him by turning him into a zombie.

The show recently teased its fans with its season 2 trailer, and viewers are eagerly anticipating what will happen next. Blaine (David Anders) was seen back as a zombie even after Liv has "cured" him. Meanwhile, Vaughn Du Clark (Steven Weber), Max Rager's head, promised to clear the company's name by eliminating all the brain-eating monsters that exist. Liv also playfully teased that she's ready to pick Ravi's (Rahul Kohli) brain in the trailer.

Forbes called this CW show as the best comic book TV show of 2015, among rival shows like "Constantine," "The Flash," "Daredevil," and "Agent Carter." iZombie definitely promises to deliver more "fresh brains" this upcoming season.
