"See u at the Marbella Hotel soon, @hereisgina @jaimecamil! Guest starring on one of my favorite shows EVER @CWJaneTheVirgin #DreamComeTrue," she wrote on social media.

Echoing her excitement are the stars themselves, whom Spears tagged on the post.

"Literally fell out my chair @britneyspears I can not wait to work with you beauty! I'm covered in goosebumps. This is unreal!!!," Rodriguez said via Twitter.

"You're the absolute best @britneyspears! It'll be a great honor to have you on the show! #DreamComeTrue for us," cast member Jaime Camil replied.

Showrunner Jennie Snyder Urman said during the network's Television Critics Association panel on Tuesday that Spears will be taking on the role of "Rogelio's 'nemesis'" in the upcoming 205th episode of Season 2.

"Personally, after hearing about their long standing feud (from Rogelio's point of view), we are eager to hear Ms. Spears' side of the story, which we assume is quite different. #TeamBritney," she said.

"We're really excited. We have a backstory, it turns out she is a real nemesis of Rogelio's, but the sort of quality of their attraction is a little bit in dispute between what Rogelio thinks and what Britney thinks," the executive producer added.

"Jane the Virgin" Season 2 premieres Monday, Oct. 12 on The CW.
