'Jane the Virgin' Season 2 Episode 9 Plot News: Santa Reprimands Jane and Rafael

Mateo's first Christmas is expected to bring some holiday drama to the midseason finale of the hit series "Jane the Virgin."

The upcoming episode of "Jane the Virgin" season 2 is expected to bring Jane, played by Gina Rodriguez, and Rafael, played by Justin Baldoni, head-to-head as they celebrate their baby's first Christmas. The network recently released a trailer for the new episode, which showed the two arguing in the mall.

It was reported that Jane and Rafael will be in the mall with Mateo to take a photo with Santa Claus. However, it seems as though they will be raising their voices at each other in front of Santa Claus. The video showed the man in the Santa costume saying, "Ho, ho, ho. Santa's got some pretty strict rules about mommies and daddies fighting at the North Pole."

Aside from Santa troubles, it seems as though Jane will have another problem at hand. The synopsis for the upcoming midseason finale teased that Jane will receive some bad news about her scholarship. With that, she will have to find a way to finance her way through graduate studies out of her own money.

As for the rest of the family, Spoiler TV revealed that, "Rogelio (Jaime Camil) has employed an intern and is having trouble trusting him. Petra (Yael Grobglas) is struggling with the latest dilemma her mother has gotten them into. Meanwhile, Michael (Brett Dier) is trying to find Luisa's mother who he now suspects is not dead and may be involved with Sin Rostro."

With that, it is evident that the holiday season will not bring much break from problems.

"Jane the Virgin" season 2 episode 9 titled "Chapter Thirty" is expected to play on The CW this Dec. 14.
