'Jane the Virgin' season 2 plot news: Team Rafael or Team Michael? The cast speaks up

With the release of "Jane The Virgin" season 2 less than a month away, fans are excited to see what Jane will be up to this coming season.

It was reported that even the cast are enthusiastic about who Jane, played by Gina Rodriguez, will be marrying in the season to come. According to TV Line, the members of the cast are hoping that Jane will end up with Michael, played by Brett Drier. Many of the cast members are leaning more on seeing Jane and Michael together. Jaime Camil, who played the role of Rogelio de la Vega, shared that he is 150 percent rooting for team Michael. Even Ivonne Coll stated that she is supportive of seeing Michael as Jane's husband.

However, Justin Baldoni, the actor who played Rafael, was reportedly bothered that the rest of the cast was sided with Michael. Rafael is the other option for Jane's happy ending. Baldoni recently commented on Dier's character. He said, "Good job, Michael. You're so cute and endearing. You go get Jane, Michael. You do your detective work." Jennie Urman, the executive producer of the series, hinted that Jane will have to decide between the two during the first five episodes of season 2.

Meanwhile, it was reported that there is a possibility that Jane will lose her virginity this season. As reported by TV Line, the second season will have her do the deed with someone. However, it was not confirmed yet whether it will be Rafael or Michael. With that, there is also another possibility that there will be a new person to steal Jane's heart. Therefore, it may not even be Rafael or Michael that she will wed or lose her virginity to this upcoming season.

"Jane the Virgin" season 2 is expected to air on The CW this Oct. 12.
