'Jane the Virgin' Season 3 Episode 14 Spoilers: Jane and Petra Vie for Room Mom Position

Petra (Yael Grobglas) and Jane (Gina Rodriguez) will battle it out in the race to become the next room mom in the upcoming episode of "Jane the Virgin."

The CW series is currently on a brief hiatus and will be back on March 20. A promo for the episode titled "Chapter Fifty-Eight" has already been released, revealing that Jane and Petra will be in some sort of election. It looks like the two mothers are vying to become the next room mom in their children's school. The teaser shows a hilarious parody of a presidential debate, with the candidates revealing their plans and criticizing the other.

Last episode, Jane finally succeeded in changing the other moms' first impression of her. It all started when Mateo's (Madison Rojas) teacher told Jane and Rafael (Justin Baldoni) that their son was misbehaving in school. According to her, the boy needed to have an aide with him because he kept on disturbing the other children. In contrast, Petra's twins were angels and always on their best behavior. Their mother could not be any prouder.

When Jane came to school to fetch Mateo, she heard the other women gossiping about her. They were blaming her for her son's attitude. To help Jane, Petra suggested that she volunteer for the school fundraiser. There, she inadvertently insulted the director, but they made up in the end after Jane apologized. She also got to talk to the other mothers and they seemed to have changed their perspective of her.

With Jane back in their good graces, she is now a frontrunner in the race to be the next room mom. She and Petra will go head to head in the election. It looks like Petra will win, though, because of her spotless record. Still, Jane will not go down without trying.

"Jane the Virgin" season 3 episode 14 will air Monday, March 20 at 9 p.m. EDT on the CW.
