'Jane the Virgin' Season 3 Updates and News: Release Date, Cast, What We Know So Far, Season 2 Recap
"Jane the Virgin" season 2 closed with Jane (Gina Rodriguez) and Michael (Brett Dier) getting married. While Michael said his vows in Spanish and the church choir and guests broke out into a song, Michael realized that Susanna (Megan Ketch) was the mole and shot him. The best part is Susanna is Rose (Bridget Regan) in disguise.
Rafael (Justin Baldoni) decided to keep his feelings to himself upon seeing Jane was happy with Michael. Anezka was unable to speak due to a seizure-induced mini stroke, but it was Petra (Yael Grobglas) who was in the hospital, and Anezka got it on with Rafael. Xo (Andrea Navedo) and Rogelio (Jamie Camil) wanted to be together again but he wanted kids, so they shared the dancefloor instead of getting back together.
What to Expect
A lot of twists in the final episode have been revealed. This then leads to anticipation from fans on what the third season will reveal.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, executive producer Jenny Snyder Urman reported that Jane will lose her virginity in the third season. Though she did not reveal whom between Michael and Rafael will be Jane's first and whom she will be sharing the intimacy with. Urman also revealed that the intimacy scene will not be on the first episode, and neither will it be in the final episode.
On the other hand, it has been reported that there will be a possibility that Jane and Rafael may get back together since they will have more time with each other while Michael is still healing his gunshot wound. This will give Rafael a chance to take advantage of the situation and maybe things will still work out in their favor.
Furthermore, Xo will have a great chance to mature in the next season and realize that she and Rogelio are actually meant for each other.
"Jane the Virgin" season 3 will premiere on Oct. 17, 2016 on the CW Network. The second season of the series had eight episodes, and the series is based on the TV series Juana La Virgen, which was created by Perla Farias.
All the stars in the second season of the series will reappear in the third. It will not be a long wait no more since "Jane the Virgin" has been renewed for the third season, and the anticipation will soon be quenched.
