'Jane The Virgin' Season 4 Spoilers: Petra to Meet New Love Interests; Details on Tyler Posey's Role Revealed
When "Jane the Virgin" returns to the small screen next month, it is said that Petra (Yael Grobglas) will finally have new love interests after her failed marriage to Rafael (Justin Baldoni).
In an interview with TV Line, showrunner Jennie Snyder Urman revealed that Petra will have a number of lovers in her "great, twisty, turn-y love life this year."
Rafael, on the other hand, will find himself crashing on Jane's (Gina Rodriguez) couch after getting kicked out of Marbella. His presence in the Villanuevas' residence will be quite overwhelming, considering all the baggage that he will be carrying, including his protein drinks.
On a brighter note, it is also said that Rafael staying at Jane's house will make him bond with her grandmother Alba (Ivonne Coll), who has always vouched for him for her granddaughter.
Meanwhile, "Teen Wolf" star Tyler Posey was previously confirmed to have been cast as Jane's old flame, who will appear in "Jane the Virgin" season 4.
While there was not much information regarding his character since the announcement, Spoilers Guide has reported that showrunner Urman has finally spilled out some details about Posey's role in the upcoming season of "Jane the Virgin."
According to her, his character a comic book and graphic novel illustrator named Adam.
"He's the same age as Jane, but their lives have gone in such drastically different paths that it feels like they're almost living different lives," she said, and described Posey's character as a "fly-by-the-seat-of-his-pants kind of guy."
Urman added, "Jane's never dated an artist since she's decided that she was an artist, so they connect on an artistic level and he just has a different approach to life than she does. I think that will be fun to see how Jane fits into his world."
The showrunner also shared how Adam will remind Jane that she can do more with her life, aside from being a mother.
"Jane the Virgin" season 4 premieres Friday, Oct. 13, on The CW.
