Jason Momoa says wait until you see 'Aquaman' before making 'fish' jokes

At this year's Fan Expo in Canada, Jason Momoa, the actor cast as the "Aquaman," said to "just wait" before starting to make any jokes with his character.

Momoa, who is famous for his role as Khal Drogo in the hit series "Game of Thrones," will be seen in a cameo role in the "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" movie next year. After that, he'll reprise his role in "The Justice League: Part 1" in 2017 and in Aquaman 2018.

The Atlantic superhero has been the victim of "fish" jokes among DC's superhero lineup. A fan asked Momoa at the Expo what he thinks of the jokes, and the actor said that he thinks they are "cute and funny."

However, people should not take his character lightly. During his interview with Entertainment Weekly earlier this year, the "Conan the Barbarian" actor said that there will be many things to tell about this aquatic hero. "The whole mythology of 'Aquaman' is pretty amazing. There's so many things to tell, and there's a whole backstory that's just amazing. There's a lot of surprises coming. I think, yeah, he's been cast aside. But, um [laughs] times are going to change now, buddy," he explained.

When the actor was asked how it is like to play a superhero in the DC movies, the actor said he's excited since his son is a huge "Batman" fan. "It's fun to be able to dress up and go play a superhero. It's a pretty choice job. And to be able to honor my native culture is another badass thing. I'm definitely living the dream right now," Momoa said.

Momoa will join Ben Affleck (Batman/Bruce Wayne), Henry Cavill (Superman/Clark Kent), and Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman/Diana Prince) in the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice scheduled to be released on March 25, 2016.
