Jeffrey Dean Morgan Reacts to Ben Affleck's Public Apology to His Wife

"The Walking Dead" star Jeffrey Dean Morgan is glad Ben Affleck publicly apologized to his wife, Hilarie Burton, for the 2003 incident wherein he groped the former "Total Request Live" host.

"I don't want to make a big deal of it because she didn't, but I think everything that's come out in the last couple of weeks, starting with Harvey Weinstein, anybody who has talked about it and even those who haven't yet are incredibly brave and I think it's time for change," Morgan told ET Online. "Hopefully all this stuff is going to change this business. It's prevalent all over and I'm proud of all these women. All women and my wife."

Morgan portrayed the father of Affleck's character in DC's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice."

The video of Affleck groping Burton during a segment on MTV's "Total Request Live" made rounds on social media in the wake of the revelations of Harvey Weinstein's sexual misconduct.

When Affleck publicly condemned Weinstein's behavior, a fan tweeted in response, emphasizing how the "Batman vs. Superman" actor has shown similar behavior in the past. Burton responded, saying she did not forget. She also thanked the fan for bringing it up.

Earlier this month, Burton admitted how in that circumstance she forced herself to laugh to prevent herself from crying. Following backlash from the media, Affleck took to Twitter to admit he "acted inappropriately" and apologized to the actress.

Apart from this, another video of Affleck getting handsy with Canadian TV personality Anne-Marie Losique surfaced. In what was supposed to be an interview for the 2004 film "Jersey Girl," Losique was on his lap for the most part while he tried to convince her to take her top off.

Burton and Morgan have a 7-year-old sold, Augustus. They are expecting their second child.
