Jen Vrabel Tweet Sets New Precedent with Hashtag in Twittersphere
College football is highly lucrative and very competitive in America and can lead to outbursts between rivals every now and then, but sometimes unexpected outbursts come from someone who is on nobody's radar.
This latest Twitter feud has been developing since last week after Wisconsin's controversial loss at Arizona State led to former Wisconsin coach Bret Bielema's wife, Jen, to make a specific comment on the social media website.
Jen specifically called out and blamed the Badgers' loss on karma, but on Twitter the hash-tag has come to represent an enlightened idea worthy of its own special citation.
However, "#karma" would later come to signify something far more than anyone could have imagined.
Soon after the Twitter post, a cascade of criticism flowed from Wisconsin fans as they were rightly upset after such callousness was showed towards their team. Yet, it seems those fans may have had the last laugh after this past weekend when Rutgers beat Arkansas in a game where the Razorbacks were favored.
After news of the loss spread another wife of a college coach took to Twitter make a poignant statement, if not a veiled shot at the wife of a college rival.
Wife of Ohio State assistant Mike Vrabel, also named Jen, posted the comment soon after hearing of the Razorbacks's demise.
"Congrats to future Big Ten rival Rutgers. Big win today over SEC opponent. #Karma," @JenVrabel1 posted with the easily identifiable hash-tag.
It is still unclear how long this will continue, but the Twitter mentions seem to keep coming.
"Badgers will be happy to know that @JenBielema blocked UW Confessions on Twitter. Much like her husband I guess she can't handle pressure," @UWConfessions posted.
