Jenelle Evans Back in Rehab for Heroin Abuse?
"Teen Mom 2" star Jenelle Evans has reportedly checked back into rehabilitation for heroin abuse. Rumors have circulated that the young mother has been battling heroin addiction, and after a hard year, it seems that Evans is finally seeking help.
"Everyone has been worried about Jenelle doing heroin, even though she was denying that for a long time," a friend of Jenelle's told Radar Online. She is now "seeking treatment for her drug addiction issues and related stresses stemming from her tumultuous last few months."
In the past few months, Evans broke off an engagement from one man whom she claimed was abusive, married another and got pregnant. Unfortunately she lost the baby and then filed for divorce from her husband, whom she also claimed abused her. She filed charges against ex-husband Courtland Rogers, including one of abuse against an unborn child.
Rogers has not appeared in court to face the charges, and a warrant has been issued for his arrest, which only adds to Evans' stress level. Evans has never had a stable life, but the past few months have only shown a downward spiral. She has been in rehabilitation before but fell off the wagon when she smoked marijuana after leaving.
Evans has been on probation for several years, stemming from charges of possession of drug paraphernalia. She has failed drug tests before, and spent a night in prison, but was released and has tried to remain clean for her son, Jace.
In November, Evans was involuntarily committed to a rehabilitation center for 72 hours, but she immediately left once the hold was over. This time, reports state, she went voluntarily in order to get the help she truly needs.
"She has been doing drugs, and she really wants to stop and live a clean life for herself and for her son Jace," the friend told Radar Online. Evans has been working to get custody of her son back; she signed over temporary custody to her mother in order to deal with her own life.
The fourth, and possibly final, season of "Teen Mom 2" airs Monday nights on MTV.
