Jennifer Aniston Wants John Mayer to 'Start a Family' With Katy Perry; Exes Still 'Friends?'
Jennifer Aniston supports John Mayer's relationship with Katy Perry despite their rocky past, a report claims.
The "We're The Millers" actress, 44, is said to be on good terms with Mayer, 36, despite their bitter split in 2009 and insiders claim she wants to see him start a family with Perry, 29. Mayer and Perry began dating in August 2012 and while they briefly split up in March 2013, they reconciled in July and have been inseparable ever since.
"Jen and John have stayed friends. They're not super close at the moment but Jen has said she likes the John-Katy pairing a lot and wants to see them start a family together," a source told RadarOnline.com.

"Of course Jen is in such a good place with her own relationship that she can get away with being magnanimous," the source explained.
Aniston, who was once married to Hollywood actor Brad Pitt, is currently engaged to actor Justin Theroux, 43. While she appears to be supportive of Mayer's relationship, a source claims this may not have been the case prior to Theroux.
"... When she was single, she didn't want to hear a thing about John's hook-ups, and to his credit, he kept his personal life pretty low key for the two years after they broke up," the source said.
"No matter what happens, there's a lot of mutual respect between John and Jen that doesn't exist between Jen and Brad Pitt at the moment," the source added.
Aniston first began dating the singer in Feb. 2008 however they parted ways in March 2009 and Mayer opened up about it shortly after.
"There's no lying, there's no cheating, there's no nothing," Mayer told reporters after working out at an Equinox Gym in New York's SoHo neighborhood according to People magazine.
"Jennifer Aniston is the smartest, most sophisticated person I think I have ever met. People are different, people have different chemistry," explained Mayer, who reportedly appeared emotional, nervous and sad. "I ended a relationship to be alone, because I don't want to waste somebody's time if something's not right."
Mayer has since moved on from Aniston with Perry, who fueled ongoing engagement rumors In November at the MTV European Music Awards (EMAs).
The "Roar" singer posed on the red carpet with a diamond ring on her wedding finger however she is yet to publicly address engagement rumors.
"He's dated a few famous women but he's never felt this way about anyone before," a source said of the couple.
