Jennifer Aniston Wedding Off? Actress Refuses to Leave L.A., Source Says
Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux have put their wedding on hold yet again, allegedly due to an inability to agree about where to live after the ceremony.
Aniston currently resides in California, where she has built her home and career, while Theroux wants to move back to New York City. The couple is unable to come to an agreement about where to reside so that both are happy. They've only been engaged for 10 months but rumors surrounding their unhappiness have led to questions about whether they will actually make it down the aisle.
"Justin has really tried to like living in Los Angeles," a friend told Radar Online, "but he just doesn't. It's not his vibe, he loves the energy and grittiness of New York City. He actually jokingly complains about the weather in LA. He doesn't think it's natural for it to be sunny year-round and misses having actual seasons."
Apparently Aniston is unwilling to leave her beloved home, which she spent $21 million on, not including renovations. She is happy to remain in L.A. with her family and friends, but Theroux is eager to get back to his own home across the country.
"Jen is firmly planted in LA and doesn't like New York City. She felt exposed and hounded by the paps there. She bought several apartments in NYC, hoping to make it home for the couple, but in the end, her heart just wasn't in it," the friend added.
Aniston is so desperate to remain in L.A. that she bought a guesthouse "for Justin to use however he wanted... Jen has encouraged Justin to decorate it and use it however he wants. He could play his music, have his buddies over, or turn it into a state of the art man cave! He is appreciative of Jen's efforts, but in the end, it still doesn't change the fact that the couple is living in LA."
"He suggested the couple could live in New York City part-time, no more than six months a year (and LA) the rest of the time," another source told Radar. "Justin misses the Big Apple, and his friends. He thinks it's time Jen start to compromise, but she is absolutely refusing to live on the East Coast, even part-time."
It remains to be seen whether the couple will make it down the aisle and, if they do, where they will live after.
