Jeremy Lin Latest News: Lin's Brooklyn Nets Loses to Atlanta Hawks 110-105
After an injury-riddled season, it looks like Brooklyn Nets' point guard Jeremy Lin is ready to end this NBA season on a good note. Despite a 110-105 loss against the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday, March 8, his performance during the game is enough to prove that he has gotten back into the swing of things with the Nets.
During the game against the Hawks, Lin played for around 25 minutes, scoring 16 points (6-for-13). The athlete hit three three-pointers, and dished out eight assists. He also managed to secure four rebounds and grab four turnovers.
With 13 seconds remaining before the game's end, Lin managed to trim the lead to 106-105 by scoring a corner 3, according to NBC New York. However, the Atlanta Hawks' Tim Hardaway Jr. and Dennis Schroder each hit two free throws in the remaining time, with the Hawks walking away with a 110-105 victory when time ran out.
Aside from Lin, Sean Kilpatrick scored 27 points, while Brook Lopez score 18 points. Kilpatrick has led the Nets' scoring for a second consecutive ball game, and has also scored 20 points or more in the past three games.
For the Atlanta Hawks, Schroder scored 31 points, while Paul Millsap and Hardaway finished with 24 and 16 points, respectively. The Hawks' victory on Wednesday night is the team's first win after suffering from a three-game losing streak.
On Monday, March 6, the Nets bagged a 122-109 victory against the Memphis Grizzlies. During the 24 minutes Lin played in that game, he scored 18 points, secured four rebounds and had one assist.
According to CBS Sports, his performance during the Nets' game with the Grizzlies showed that he is starting to get more aggressive on offense again after missing several games because of his hamstring injury.
Since returning from a 26-game absence, Lin has averaged 12.7 points and 2.8 assists in the previous six games that he played.
