Jeremy Lin News 2017: Brooklyn Nets Star Bought Suits for Teammates and Staff Members

Jeremy Lin wanted to keep it a secret, but word leaked out that he had bought suits for the Brooklyn Nets team and staff. That's about 40 sets and counting, as the point guard had custom businesswear made over the course of three days.

That's a lot of welcome business for Abe Ndoye, Lin's favorite tailor, even back during his time with the Houston Rockets, according to Nets Daily. The suit maker spent days measuring, adjusting, and helping Brooklyn Nets players and staff pick out styles and material at the U.S. Naval Academy.

About 40 people got new, custom-fitted and tailor-made sets. Lin bought suits for his teammates, the coaches, and the coaching staff. He also bought suits for their video coordinators, physical therapists, and the team's security guards.

This is not the first time Lin has indulged in dressing up his teammates, as he admitted during the Brooklyn Nets media day on Monday, Sep. 25. "Dang, this is not supposed to be public information. I did it last year as well," the point guard said.

"It's just something that, especially the rookies, 'Let's get them a nice, fresh suit going into the season so they can have one,'" he explained. He added that Ndoye, the tailor he trusted to suit up the team and staff, adds an extra feature to the suit as well.

"He can custom the inside with pictures, so if you want pictures of your family, significant dates, you can create the inside of your jacket however you want," Lin said, noting how the players had their suits customized with photos significant to them.

D'Angelo Russell, a new addition to the team following a trade with the Los Angeles Lakers, has nothing but approval for Lin's gesture. "For him to do that, that's big time because I know how expensive suits are, so I appreciate him and I would think the other guys appreciate him also," the guard said after calling Lin an amazing teammate.
