Jeremy Lin News: NBA Star Seems To Have Found His Home with Hornets
Following the smooth moves that Jeremy Lin ever so slowly slammed back into the court for the past several games, rumor has it that "Linsanity" has found a new training ground with the Charlotte Hornets for a possible reincarnation.
The Australian News Network points out that the Hornets trod a rocky path after missing to get into the playoffs last season, but with Nicolas Batum, Frank Kaminsky, and Lin in the team, the path now appears to be more aligned with the team's goals.
The past several months also proved to be a struggle for the "undrafted" star, and multiple rumors surrounded his career. He was rumored to be moving to the Chicago Bulls, only ending up with the Hornets and being described by the team's owner, the legendary Michael Jordan, as their "biggest acquisition" yet.
Coach Steve Clifford has commended Lin multiple times in various occasions for his improvement, following the apparent decline of his gameplay during his short stint with the Los Angeles Lakers that broke the hearts of some of his fans.
Sports Vice also notes that Lin's optimism might have contributed a lot to his gradual success with the Hornets. In one of his talks during summer, Lin said, "Funny how God works things out. Charlotte wasn't on the top six list, but I ended up here."
Looking back on the previous Hornets games that he undoubtedly helped claim the victory, it is only acceptable that the sad and weary NBA warrior has started to pick up the pieces of his career. This is mainly because he landed on a team that allowed him to use his skills and praised his hard work when necessary.
"Linsanity" erupted in February 2012, at a time when the Asian player was acquired by the New York Knicks. The tabloids called him "Linsane" for the 25-game stardom that gave him a name in the industry. However, the spotlight didn't seem to like his color, skills, and charm. He slowly faded into the shadows and was tossed around a number of teams.
Now with the Hornets, it is unclear how the Chinese icon's story may go. "Linsanity" may not explode once more in the days to come, but fans will just need to wait for what God can do to a humble player who gives the glory back to the heavens with each pass, steal, assist, or shot.
