Jeremy Lin News: Nets Point Guard Played Well Despite Poor Shooting in Thursday Win Over Knicks

The Brooklyn Nets went back to the Madison Square Garden on Thursday, March 16, and came out with a win over the New York Knicks, improving their record to 13 wins. The Nets prevailed over their New York City rivals with a 67-point second half aided by a solid performance from Jeremy Lin, to end the match with an eleven-point win at 121–110.

Just five days ago, the Brooklyn Nets handed the New York Knicks a loss following a game last Sunday, March 12, winning by eight points with a score of 120–112. As tallied by the Nets Daily, the Sunday match saw the Nets raining threes from downtown as they splashed down 19 three pointers en route to the win.

This Thursday game, however, needed the Nets to dig deep into their other offense options as their three pointers were just not going in. By the first half, the Nets were under by 11 points after a dismal 2 out of 16 from the three-point line.

The second half saw a resurging Nets led by Jeremy Lin and Brook Lopez, dubbed the "BrookLin" duo, and the team dropped 67 points on the Knicks to put them away for the night. Jeremy Lin ended up with 15 points, eight assists, four rebounds and two steals in the 30 minutes he was in play, as recorded by CBS Sports. While Lin was having an off-night with 5 out of 16 in field goals, he made up for it with solid play on assist and defense.

Meanwhile, Knicks player Kyle O'Quinn is probably still having trouble believing that they just took another loss from Lin and the Nets. Stefan Bondy, a media reporter who covers the Knicks for the New York Daily News, has just tweeted a line from O'Quinn after Thursday's game.
