Jerry Sandusky Arrested On New Sexual Assault And Molestation Charges

Jerry Sandusky was arrested Wednesday for two new charges of sexual abuse.

One alleged victim claims he was sexually assaulted after meeting Sandusky in 1997 and the other claims he was assaulted in 2004. Both alleged victims, known as Victim 9 and Victim 10, claim to have met Sandusky through The Second Mile Charity, which he established for at-risk youth in 1977.

Sandusky has already been charged with 40 counts of child sex abuse pending the allegations of eight other boys over the course of 15 years. Sandusky denies being a pedophile but admitted in interviews with NBC and The New York Times, that he showered and engaged in “horseplay” with boys.

In an interview with The New York Times, when Sandusky was asked if he is sexually attracted to young boys, he stammered, saying, "If I say, 'No, I'm not attracted to young boys,' that's not the truth because I'm attracted to young people -- boys, girls -- I ..."

His lawyer was present during the interview and interjected to help his client by reminding Sandusky that he is "not sexually" attracted to children.

"Right,” Sandusky said, “I enjoy, that's what I was trying to say, I enjoy spending time with young people. I enjoy spending time with people," he added, "I mean my two favorite groups are the elderly and the young."

The new charges include four counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and two counts of unlawful contact with a minor. All are first-degree felonies, which are punishable by up to 20 years in prison and $25,000 in fines.

Most of the victims allege to have met Sandusky through The Second Mile charity, which was founded as a safe place for youth. Sandusky’s bail is set at $250,000. If he pays bail, he will have to wear an ankle monitor. His Preliminary hearing is set for Tuesday, Dec. 13.
