'Jessica Jones' Season 2 Spoilers: Which Defender Member Will Lend Jessica a Hand Against Enemies?

Jessica (Krysten Ritter) is going to need a support system to defeat a new set of enemies in the upcoming season of "Jessica Jones."

Fans of the series are curious to learn if a member of the Defenders will join Jessica in the new installment. According to Screen Rant, Danny Rand (Finn Jones) aka Iron Fist and the feisty Misty Knight (Simone Missick) will appear in the second season of "Luke Cage," so there is a possibility that a Defender will also arrive in Jessica's side of town to help her out. Speculation says it could be Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), aka Daredevil.

Meanwhile, "Jessica Jones" season 2 is expected to dive back into Jessica's dark and conflicting world. It has been teased that she would continue to battle with her inner demons as she tries to remember her past memories. Jessica is determined to find more information about the night her parents died in a car accident. She and Trish (Rachael Taylor) will dig deep and investigate the hidden connection between her and the IGH, the organization who financed her operations years ago.

Jessica is also set to meet Will (Wil Traval) again although this time around, she will hardly recognize him. Given the events of the past season, Will will probably be transformed into a super soldier, one of the genetically improved men who make up the IGH's army. Fans will also see Kilgrave (David Tennant), the mind-controlling villain who will have the same debilitating effect on Jessica even though he will not be physically present in her world.

Fans can also look forward to the action scenes in the upcoming episodes. Ritter recently recounted an experience where she was knocked out by a punch that landed too hard on her face. She also said that she had to undergo intense training to make the fight scene believable.

"I felt like such a loser the first time [punching.] I didn't know how to throw a punch—why would I? Who knows how to throw a punch? Now I do it all the time, and it makes me feel strong. It's so f*cking fun," Ritter relayed.

"Jessica Jones" season 2 is expected to air next year on Netflix.
