"Today I am celebrating my little boy who is gonna be here very very soon," Simpson said in the video posted on people.com.

"I'm so excited to share this celebration with all of you guys. Mindy Weiss, the best planner ever, is gonna show you guys around while I go mingle with my friends so I hope you enjoy it and sending all of you love ... me and baby boy," she added while rubbing her burgeoning baby bump.

Simpson is expecting her second child with retired NFL star Eric Johnson, 33, after welcoming baby girl Maxwell in 2012.

"I'm so excited to have a son! He got all these cute vintage cars and I got a lot of little leather jackets I can't wait to try out!" she said.

Simpson's younger sister Ashlee and actress Jessica Alba were among a number of Hollywood stars who attended the country-themed baby shower. The set up included vintage tables, tin pitchers, and a wooden boat alongside a nearby pond at the Hotel Bel-Air.

The menu included champagne; mini sliders; grilled cheese; pigs in a blanket and Simpson allegedly requested that Thousand Island dressing be made available at the salad bar.

"She's craving it!" Weiss said after describing how the former reality TV star is as a mother. "She's an amazing mother. Very calm and she looks great too!"

Simpson opened up about why having a baby boy is extra special to her. Ashlee, 28, is the starlet's only sibling.

"I didn't grow up with a brother and I think the unknown is really exciting," she said. "I can't wait to have that connection with our little man."
