Jhené Aiko Gets a Tattoo of Big Sean's Face

For Jhené Aiko, her boyfriend Big Sean will always be a part of her life, and a good part of her arm, as well. The singer has thoughtfully installed a tattoo of Big Sean's face just above her elbow, about a year from when they started dating.

Miryam "The Witchdoctor" Lumpini, the celebrity tattoo artist who executed this piece of skin art, shared the photo of Big Sean's face on Aiko's arm on her Instagram handle. The Los Angeles-based tattoo specialist wrote "Art is love," as the caption.

Aiko and Big Sean have been going out for a year now, since the couple made their relationship public in October last year, as People recalls. Both performers and songwriters in their own rights, the couple has teamed up as a duo act called Twenty88 doing collaboration albums since 2016.

The two already had their debut album out by April last year and enjoyed some success when it peaked at number five on the Billboard charts. The compilation, also called "Twenty88," featured guest performances from acts including R&B group K-Ci & JoJ and Detail.

The statement tattoo on Aiko's left arm shows a realistic take on Big Sean wearing a tuxedo and a bowtie. If nothing else, this just seals the deal on her divorce with her ex-husband Dot da Genius, which has been ongoing since August 2016.

She filed for divorce last year due to "irreconcilable differences." The former couple has been separated for more than a year by then, having split up back in June of 2015.

While online opinion on her new ink has been divided, Aiko herself remains unabashed about the whole thing. "When I met Sean, if you looked in the dictionary for Jhené Aiko, it would be a picture of Sean. Basically, he is my type, but he knows," she said in an earlier interview with Billboard.
