In celebration of father's everywhere on Father's Day, Jimmy Fallon has offered his demonstration of the history of dancing dads.
Remember going to a father daughter dance in middle school or high school? Embarrassing much? While they were meant to encourage the bond between fathers and their daughters, many times it may have only made daughters want to turn in the other direction. It turns out that Dad can have some pretty embarrassing moves.
To poke fun at the many silly moves that dad comes up with, Jimmy Fallon debuted some of his own fatherly moves.
Of course many girls may have managed to get through school without any of those awkward moments. By the time that young girls become women of course, the father daughter dance takes on a whole new meaning. Now a mature young lady, a daughter is usually more than happy to dance with her father at her wedding. Despite being an emotional moment however, it appears that some fathers still manage to be a bit embarrassing.
Father's Day is celebrated in a number of different nations from Argentina to Japan, and Italy to Romania. It was first celebrated in England in the 15th century during the reign of King George II. It was made to complement Mother's Day which actually came first.
