Joe Giudice: 'I am not going back to Italy,' as he is rumored to use Syrian refugee crisis to stay in the US

After serving four years in prison, Joe Giudice says he will fight with all his strength and resources to stay in the United States.

According to Radar Online, a rumor has surfaced that Giudice is planning to invoke Syrian refugees' rights as an example of why he should not be deported.

Several reports say Giudice has never become an American citizen even if he has loved for over 20 years in the United States. His recent conviction for fraud charges can actually turn into a ticket that could kick him out of the country.

However, an insider said, "There is no way Joe is going back to Italy without a huge long legal battle," adding that the "Real Housewives of New Jersey" personality has actually taken some steps into becoming a citizen, while his most recent criminal case was in talks.

The insider said Giudice has his own twisted justification of why he should be able to stay in the United States as he thinks that it is "absolutely ridiculous" that Syrian refugees could be given the rights of citizenship and he is going to be sent back home. The infamous TV personality also reportedly noted that he believes some Syrian refugees are shielding terrorists within the group of migrants, while he is vowing to be a "model citizen."

Aside from his own issues, Giudice does not speak Italian, the source said, and he also refuses to move to Italy without his family.

Bravo has given Giudice another shot to get his senses back as he will be starring in "The Real Housewives of New Jersey: Teresa Checks In," which airs on Oct. 11. The first installment will feature the patriarch forced to become a single father to his four daughters, while Teresa is in prison for her 15-month sentence.

The source said Bravo paid Giudice directly for his performance, adding that what he received is "the only substantial money the family has been paid since Teresa went to prison."
