Joe Jonas, Sophie Turner Engagement News: Couple Spotted in Paris After Announcing Engagement

Newly engaged couple Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner chose the romantic city of Paris to celebrate their happy news this week.

The 28-year-old pop singer and the 21-year-old "Game of Thrones" star were seen walking together on Tuesday, Oct. 17, while Turner proudly flashed her approximately two-carat pear-shaped diamond ring as she snuggled the arm of her new fiancé.

The couple announced their engagement through the British actress' Instagram account Sunday, Oct. 15, with a picture of the diamond ring on her hand on top of Jonas' hand with the caption, "I said yes." The DNCE singer also shared the same photo on his own social media account.

The news was welcomed by the couple's family and friends, including Jonas' brother Nick Jonas who congratulated them by reposting the ring on his own Instagram account.

Turner's best friend and "Game of Thrones" co-star Maisie Williams also did the same and included a heartfelt caption that said: "Congratulations to my beautiful girlfriend on her engagement. This is just one of MANY life milestones we'll share. Love you both." On the other hand, Jonas' ex-girlfriend Demi Lovato also reportedly congratulated the couple's engagement by posting a comment on this post.

Jonas and Turner's relationship first went public when they were reportedly spotted snuggling together at the Kings of Leon concert in the Netherlands back in November 2016. But despite their engagement, a source told Us Weekly that they are not rushing to tie the knot anytime soon.

"They are madly in love. She's young but mature and comes from a small English town, so it's not that out of the ordinary and age doesn't create an issue," the source stated." "They are really good together and his friends and family love her and vice versa, but they aren't rushing to get married."

Details about the couple's planned nuptials remain under wraps.
