Joe Mantegna Directs Oct. 14 Episode 'Til Death Do Us Part' on 'Criminal Minds'

The next episode of Season 11 of "Criminal Minds" is a treat for fans as it is going to be directed by cast member Joe Mantegna and the story deals with brides getting murdered on the eve of their wedding. The October 14 episode titled "Til Death Do Us Part" also features a cameo from NFL legend Michael Irvin plus an appearance by a "Glee" alumni, Ashley Fink.

The official synopsis reads: "When brides-to-be in Savannah are killed on the eve of their nuptials, the BAU suspects a jilted UnSub is at work, on CRIMINAL MINDS, Wednesday, Oct. 14 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Series star Joe Mantegna directed the episode. Guest stars include NFL Hall of Famer Michael Irvin as himself, Ashley Fink ("Glee") as florist Dana Seavers and Chicago radio personality Mancow Muller as a DJ."

The cases that BAU has to solve this season are particularly thrilling. Last week's case was the story of Charlie who is a man with a wife who betrayed him. He silently seethes at his wife's infidelity but finally he snaps and kills her lover, Theo. But to Charlie's misfortune, there is a witness to this killing. Theo's half-brother Mitchell Crossford witnesses the murder but instead of reporting it, he uses Charlie to fall in with his plans of attacking the FBI.

These two stories ran side by side as the BAU tried to solve them with Charlie being blackmailed into doing things by Mitchell, meanwhile, the BAU is trying to figure out the identity of the sarin killer.

Lastly, the casting of Charlie played by Tim Kang was first class. Tim Kang, who plays the cool and calm Agent Cho on "The Mentalist," plays just the opposite in this episode. A harried and out-of-control husband to an emotional wreck, he went through Charlie's arc beautifully.

A cast member directing an episode always makes it special and more so in this case because it is Joe Mantegna at the helm of affairs in this ghoulish episode where brides are murdered just before their wedding day. It would be easy to suspect a jilted lover but the episode can give viewers a more delicious ending.

"Criminal Minds" Season 11 Episode 3 "'Til Death Do Us Part" airs Oct. 14 at 9 p.m. on CBS.
