On Tuesday, Teigen already shared a first photo of the baby though her face wasn't shown. In the picture, Teigen is seen touching baby Luna's head tenderly as their pet sits nearby to guard the baby from any harm.

A source told E! News after the baby was born: "Chrissy and John can't stop gushing over Luna. She is perfect!" As for the baby's name's an insider close to the couple said baby Luna's middle name, Simone, was derived from Nina Simone, a singer and civil rights activist whom Legend admires a lot.

Mike Jackson, who co-produced "Underground" with Legend, also told Entertainment Tonight that the parents are very happy. "They're happy...they went through a lot to have this child. They're excited. We're all really blessed to have her a part of all our lives," he said.

The pregnancy was announced in October and since then, Teigen has shared in interviews that she's looking forward to motherhood. Today also adds that the baby's name was actually approved by none other than the United States president, Barack Obama.

According to the outlet, Teigen told Stephen Colbert in March that he asked the president of he liked one of the name choices that she and her husband picked. The U.S. president said he did.
