John Travolta Sued for Threats Against Alleged Ex-Lover
Doug Gotterba has filed a lawsuit against actor John Travolta, claiming the actor's representatives made threatening phone calls to him after he spoke with media.
Earlier this year Gotterba revealed to media sources that he and Travolta had engaged in an affair during his nearly six years of employment under that actor. Gotterba was a pilot for Travolta from 1981 to 1987. Gotterba claimed that he was not asked to sign a confidentiality agreement, according to TMZ.
Gotterba has filed a lawsuit accusing the actor's lawyer, Marty Singer, of placing threatening calls to him after he opened up to the media about his relationship with Travolta. According to the report, Gotterba stated that the only document he signed was a termination form that did not include a confidentiality clause. He therefore argued that he had every right to talk openly about the actor.

Singer has accused Gotterba of attempting to get fame by pursuing a lawsuit.
"Mr. Gotterba obviously filed this lawsuit to get his 15 minutes of fame. We plan to get this meritless case promptly dismissed," Singer told TMZ. He added that Gotterba's contract did in fact contain a confidentiality agreement.
Travolta was brought into the spotlight after a cruise worker charged the actor with sexual assault.
Fabian Zanzi, an employee of the Royal Caribbean Cruise company, filed against the actor in May, citing that he was sexually assaulted in 2009 after visiting the actor's room. Zanzi initially claimed that he had delivered an item to Travolta's room on board when the actor requested a neck massage. After Zanzi obliged, he claims that the actor made an intimate advance.
He "told [me I] was a beautiful person and invited [me] to return to visit him later that night," Zanzi said in the initial report he filed in June of 2009.
After reporting the incident to the company, Zanzi was reproached for having offered a neck massage in violation of the company's policy- no fraternizing with guests- the same policy Zanzi cited to Travolta when allegedly rejecting his offer to return to the room later.
However, in May of this year, Zanzi began to tell a new story, claiming that Travolta had done more than ask for a neck massage. He claimed that the actor also exposed himself and hugged Zanzi while being physically aroused. Travolta then allegedly offered to pay $12,000 to be intimate and for the employee's silence.
